The Honorable Donald J. Trump

Dear President Trump,

You are a man who understands authority – “legal power, or a right to command or to act” (Webster 1828). You have rightly recognized the Biden autopen as lacking authority. That same unauthorized autopen is forcing my husband out of the military in three weeks. I am appealing to you on his behalf as a wife, mother, veteran, and proud American.

As you know, rogue staffers signed presidential actions without legal authority, undermining the Constitution and the integrity of our government institutions. These illegal actions have caused great disruption and harm to many lives in the process. You and your family have felt this lawlessness firsthand. The last administration’s disregard for authority and recklessness allowed the targeting of individuals who stood for Truth. As you have stated, this lawlessness cannot stand, requiring action to reverse the illegitimate authority exercised by those using the autopen.

My husband, Brig Gen Christopher Sage, was the deployed commander of the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing from July 2021 to 2022. It was his dream assignment, doing what he had trained and sacrificed to become—a deployed commander engaged in the fight, leading a combat wing with lethality, excellence, and integrity. He was focused on the mission and taking care of warfighters. A small handful of subordinates attempted to undermine his leadership. He took corrective action, believing the team was realigned. The IG system was then used to target him.

Mr. President, you understand this fight. Despite your bold executive orders to restore common-sense and constitutional order to the military, deeply entrenched obstructionists and lawyers at the Pentagon still attempt to control the narratives—and therefore the decisions. Despite the valiant effort of your political appointees to carry out your vision and policies, many long-term staffers and lawyers still sit in positions of control at the Pentagon, and they are frustrating the implementation and intent of your executive orders and clear directives.

Chris was selected for promotion to Major General in October 2021 and then curiously subjected to a flawed Inspector General (IG) investigation in early February 2022. As a wife of nearly 30 years, a 1995 Air Force Academy graduate, and an Air Force veteran turned attorney, it was shocking to observe the corrupted administrative process and realize the toll it took on our family over the last four years. It became clear that this process was weaponized to accomplish a desired outcome against people who share our values and worldview. After years of this painful process, Chris was removed from the 2-star promotion list by Joe Biden’s autopen, an action that you have rightfully deemed null and void.

This is bigger than just a promotion. It is about our love of nation, our heart for military service, and the importance of integrity. We have taken this stand and bore this cross to fight the shadow government inside the Pentagon because God put us in a position to do so. Many others do not have the resources or options to take such a stand. We are not the only military members that have suffered at the hand of the last administration’s policies, but we are poised to fight. There is much work to do to restore the trust of

our warfighters and their families. Chris comes from a legacy of military service, and we have personal investment in restoring the military to an institution where we would entrust our four boys to serve.

We have watched with awe at how God continues to answer our prayers through your fearless leadership and unflinching executive actions. You understand the battle. In this season of advent, it has struck us how Immanuel holds all authority and dominion over heaven and earth, yet he humbled himself, carried the cross, and trusted His Heavenly Father to do His will. In the same manner, we are also humbled, trusting God’s will to prevail for our nation and for our personal situation. In obedience, we carry this cross, we stand, and we fight!

Therefore, do not be afraid of them. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops….and whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me…. Matthew 10: 26-27, 38.

Chris has appealed the nullified autopen removal letter and IG injustices to your Department of War leadership, but the hard decisions continue to stall. Because of the rogue autopen action, my husband is being forced to retire on December 31, 2025. The same entrenched Pentagon lawyers and staffers who pushed the COVID and DEI agendas are still driving their worn-out narrative, not your policies. They have zero incentive to admit and correct their wrongs. We continue to pray that your Secretaries will see the battle for what it is and execute your clear directives—not just comply going forward but actively reverse the injustices of the last administration. Only then will warfighters and their families trust the institution again.

In the last five years, many of your most faithful, experienced, and competent leaders have been purged. Chris is next in line unless something changes. We have exhausted every remedy. The Air Force Board for Correction of Military Records recently ruled in his favor—finding clear injustice by Biden-era officials and recommending relief, clearing his record and placing him back on the promotion list. Yet Assistant Secretary Richard Anderson, on advice from the very same lawyers who signed off on the flawed investigation, overruled the Board and denied relief—in direct conflict with your policies.

Mr. President, a faulty IG investigation was used to justify removing Chris from the promotion list with an autopen signature that you have declared null and void. I humbly request you act within your authority to direct the Air Force to:

• Recognize the Biden autopen removal as null and void.

• Restore Brig Gen Christopher Sage to the Major General promotion list.

• Implement the Correction Board’s recommended remedies.

We stand with you to restore our great nation and strengthen the best military in the world. Chris remains ready to fight and to lead. A sampling of 65 letters, attesting to Chris’s leadership and character, accompany this letter.

Very Respectfully and Sincerely,
