In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder, the American Right has been infiltrated by several competing groups of fraudsters and opportunists. Some have flocked to the hate of Nick Fuentes. Others have been enticed by the deceptions of Tucker Carlson. Today, we will be discussing arguably the most widespread and unbelievable – the delusions of Candace Owens.
If you’ve been in any form of public life for an extended period of time, you will notice that mistakes happen. Sometimes you misspeak. Every now and then, you make a claim which you later find to be false. Bad information, lack of extensive knowledge, and simple immaturity occasionally make fools of all of us. It happens to everyone who dares to be what Theodore Roosevelt called ‘the man in the arena’ – luckily, the road back is fairly simple. Own your mistakes, admit your imperfection, apologize when you were wrong, and move on.
That’s all it takes to walk as a person of integrity living with their own fallible human nature.
Sadly, there is another path – it is the path that Candace Owens is currently speeding down. This path is one in which you are either incapable or unwilling to accept and own your mistakes. For those who choose to follow Candace, humility and honesty are sacrificed at the altar of doubling down, gaining popularity, and preserving ego.
This piece is going to be extremely straightforward; in light of the fact that Candace Owens has become a leading influencer for the Woke Right, I am going to compile a non-exhaustive list (with receipts) of verifiable lies which Candace has pushed forward in recent history. My hope is to open eyes to see exactly why following Candace is dangerous, intellectually dishonest, and unchristian. Let’s get into it.
As I previously addressed, like a coiled snake ready to strike, Candace lied almost immediately after Charlie Kirk was assassinated in her dedication video. Almost before his body was cold, Candace claimed that when she joined TPUSA in 2017, both she and Charlie were unknown to the public. The problem is that Charlie had successfully founded and grown TPUSA for several years by the time he hired Candace, and he had been a regularly appearing personality on national news. This was a savvy move in an overall tactic which Candace used to prime the pump by painting herself as a foundational mentor and guiding-light figure to Charlie Kirk – thus, hijacking and taking credit for his legacy while establishing herself as an expert on all things Charlie.
Candace used the fact that Alex Clark did an interview several days after Charlie’s death as a point of attack against the legitimacy of Alex. On October 7, 2025 Candace said, “I couldn’t even speak to the press that week. I still haven’t spoken to the press, I haven’t even given one interview about Charlie Kirk, because it felt icky to me.” This claim has been proven false as we’ve now seen that Candace gave an interview to CNN on September 26th - just 16 days after Kirk’s death - where she explicitly discussed him and even pushed her unfounded conspiracies about his death.
Candace was also caught lying about whether or not she had discussed Charlie. She Tried to blame CNN, saying, “We told them in writing, multiple times, that I wanted NO QUESTIONS ABOUT CHARLIE. Despite this, CNN was CNN and violated our request and asked about him once cameras were rolling.” But CNN provided receipts which debunked these claims soundly.
Candace also lied by saying, “I really didn’t poke my head up until weeks after Charlie Kirk’s death—until I could stop crying about it every second.” In reality, she started discussing Charlies situation in depth 6 days after his assassination.
After Charlies death, Candace began claiming that Charlie was becoming anti-Israel and anti-Zionist, but mere weeks before his death, Candace said she was, “aligned with Nick Fuentes on Israel over Charlie Kirk” This was almost exactly the same span of time in which Charlie Kirk shared his utter rejection of Nick Fuentes, when he told Dinesh D'Souza not to platform Nick and said that Nick was “vermin”.
Candace has shared mixed and incompatible stories about how she and her foreign, elitist, millionaire husband, George Farmer, met. One of the most noteworthy and odd elements of their alleged love story is that her husband, George, insists that in the 18 days between meeting Candace and proposing to Candace, there was “nothing romantic” between them.
When speaking of meeting her husband in 2018, Candace says that Charlie Kirk was a professional contact rather than being someone in her “personal life”. Elsewhere, Candace has said that she and Charlie were like family… so which is it?
In the weeks following Charlie’s murder, Candace attempted to present herself as boldly planning to “violate” the gag order in the Charlie Kirk investigation… But the gag order only ever applied to witnesses, those likely to be called to testify, and defense/prosecution teams – so Candace was not boldly violating anything. She was pretending to be brave while slaying a straw dragon.
Candace told CNN that the proof she had regarding Charlie Kirk’s murder coverup was found primarily in “The fact that Discord said the messages didn’t exist”… but the messages she referred to were texts, not discord messages. She also originally said viewers would have to excuse her foul language because the interview was “a couple of days” after Charlie’s death – but the facts show that the interview happened over two weeks after his death (16 days) – hardly a “couple of days”.
Candace Owens made the argument that most English speakers don’t use the word “vehicle” as Tyler Robinson did in his text messages. However, Candace has used this word many times on her own show and worse yet, Candace selectively edited a video of Tyler Robinson at a traffic stop and cut out the part where he says the word “vehicle”.
Candace Owens has made false connections in support of her Frankist Conspiracy theory – resulting in anti-Jew activists like Nick Fuentes claiming that she got her facts wrong.
In a puff-piece interview which Candace conducted for her husband’s long-time friend, Andrew Tate, Candace lied by claiming that Andrew ceased his porn production business “10 years ago”. In reality, at the time, Tate still practiced porn production and had confirmed it while openly bragging about his actions within the past 1-4 years.
Candace has lied about multiple aspects of Trump policy. Her most egregiously incorrect claims can be found in her stating that US foreign policy is “dictated by Israel”, that Americans were about to go “die for Israel”, and that military members should “get dishonorably discharged” to avoid a combat deployment that never happened.
Candace openly accused Bill Ackman and other conservatives of ambushing Charlie Kirk and pressuring him at a private meeting. Ackman debunked these claims with receipts which originated in a timeframe after the alleged ambush. Additionally, Charlie Kirk’s entire team and everyone present for the alleged ambush disagrees with Candace’s third-party retelling of the incident.
Candace incorrectly stated that Benjamin Netanyahu was intentionally misrepresenting Charlie’s words in a letter that Charlie wrote to the Israeli Prime minister. Her cult-like fans never stopped to ask how Candace would have committed to memory private words shared between Charlie and Netanyahu, but either way, her claims were disproven when the entire letter was revealed – showing that Netanyahu had not misrepresented a single thing.
In a public message to Brigitte Macron, Candace Owens said, “You’re not suing me over the claim that I said you were born a man.” However, court documents disprove Candace’s claim by explaining, “These outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions [From Owens] include that Mrs. Macron was born a man.”
Candace claimed, without evidence, that TPUSA was offered $150 million from Israeli donors and Charlie Kirk turned down the money just prior to his assassination. Charlie’s team has denied this claim entirely.
Candace claims that she knows that Charlie Kirk “is buried in a Catholic cemetery”. However, this has not been confirmed by any sources and even her close allies – such as Ian Carroll – have suggested that Charlie Kirk has not been buried at all. So which is it? Someone on Team Candace has to be wrong.
Candace has spoken vocally against rap music, specifically when rap is overly sexual and mocks Christ – but she has one exception for this rule: her friend Kanye. When Kanye openly mocks Christ and parades his wife around virtually naked, Candace seems tongue tied and has nothing to say. Candace has even endorsed Kanye’s albums which contain explicit and God-mocking material. This double standard seems awfully convenient, doesn’t it?
Candace has suggested that Joseph Stalin Was secretly Jewish, implying Jewish orchestration of Soviet atrocities. Stalin was an ethnically Georgian Orthodox Christian.
Candace infamously stated that only two people could get her to stop her wild theorizing and targeting campaign in response to Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Those two people were her husband, George, and Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika. The latter has since directly asked Candace to stop – rather than honoring this wish as Candace promised she would, Candace has instead turned her focus towards attacking and discrediting Erika Kirk.
Candace has repeatedly committed a lie of omission by labeling anyone who disagrees with her as an “elitist”. Candace has been given a platform by three of the largest Conservative organizations – TPUSA, PragerU, and Daily Wire – leading to Candace making millions of dollars and collecting millions of fans. Candace is married to a foreign aristocrat, George Farmer, who is a multi-millionaire. Candace Owens is an elitist in every sense of the word – and she has achieved her elitist status through handouts and hands-up from other people, not from building something by herself. Her framing is inherently dishonest around the topic of elitism.
These last few are not lies per se, but they are actions from Candace which are so strange and/or hilariously incorrect that they deserve to be mentioned. First of all, it should be noted that Candace started her public life working in predominantly left-wing PR and marketing a doxxing site called Social Autopsy – Candace has never publicly apologized for this obvious misstep.
During her unhinged and directionless rants, Candace comically and incorrectly asserted that foreign planes were in the area for Charlie Kirk’s murder – she assessed this by reading “UTC” (which is the universal military and aviation time – synonymous with GMT and Zulu time) as the make-believe “Utah Time”. The ace reporter and detective failed to note basic information about aviation and that, uh… “Utah Time” is not a thing. It doesn’t exist.
Detective Candace laughably showed her lack of knowledge concerning basic facts when she claimed that military E-4 and E-5’s were Lieutenant Colonels. This is about half a step removed from asserting that a military private is a general.
Several excellent take-downs of Candace have been shared, one of the best may be viewed here. Sadly, though, all the facts and logic in the world will not convince some members of the Candace Cult. Like the American Left, Candace has chosen to bet against the intellectual honesty of her supporters – she has correctly read the room and come to the conclusion that as long as she is entertaining and sensational, she doesn’t need to worry about facts, integrity, or consistency.
Estimates of YouTube content creator pay rates (generally based on clicks and watch time) show that Candace has made millions by milking the death of Charlie Kirk. Her lies, inconsistent theories, and accusations have arguably brought in her biggest payday of her life – perhaps second only to the day that she married a foreign millionaire. Factor in money made through sponsors and super chats and it begins to become very apparent why Candace is willing to attack, smear, and slither her way through her videos.
Beyond her obvious financial incentive, one popular theory is that Candace may have held onto some unrequited love for Charlie Kirk. It sounds unbelievable until you pay attention to how Candace has attacked his widow, how she has attempted to paint herself as his only true friend, and how Candace has a history of fantasizing about adultery and speaking against monogamy. We may never know, but hey, I’m just asking questions. Candace should be proud.
In the face of so many ungodly splinter cells within the right, I am reminded of an encouraging story: Gideon and his 300 men. Common wisdom today says, “How will we ever win in politics and culture again? We hardly held back the godless left as things were, and now the Candaces and Nicks and Tuckers of the world have each taken their pound of flesh… What now?” Similarly, common wisdom would have told Gideon, “You are already facing a superior force. You need every man you can get! Gather ALL the troops!”
But that was not God’s way. God’s way was to purify His followers. God wanted to choose only those who He saw as fit for battle. God got rid of the dead-weight – and in doing so, he made Gideon’s force exactly as strong as it needed to be to achieve victory and carry out His good and perfect will. I believe that God is doing that today – He is purifying our force and making us stronger, even if it means losing the people who never truly stood with us to begin with.
